Tired of the same old tunes accompanying your frantic runs through the alien hordes in Brotato? Now you can take control of the soundtrack with the Jukebox mod! This incredible addition allows you to inject your personal music library directly into the game, creating a truly custom audio experience for every session.

How the Jukebox Mod Works

Getting started with the Jukebox mod is refreshingly simple. Upon your first launch after installation, the mod will automatically generate a dedicated folder named ‘custom_tracks’ and a configuration file, ‘jukebox.json’, within your Brotato game directory. All you need to do is place your desired music files into the ‘custom_tracks’ folder, and the Jukebox mod will seamlessly integrate them into the game’s audio shuffle.

Your music can be in various common formats, including .mp3, .ogg, and .wav. For the best and most reliable playback experience, the mod author highly recommends using .mp3 files. While .wav files are supported, their variable bitrates can sometimes lead to playback issues.

Your Personal In-Game Music Player

Once your tracks are added, a brand new ‘Jukebox’ menu will appear in Brotato’s main menu. This central hub is where the magic happens:

• View Loaded Tracks: See all the custom songs you’ve successfully added.
• Refresh Functionality: If you add new music while the game is already running, a simple ‘Refresh’ button will load them without needing to restart.
• Shuffle Control: Enable or disable individual tracks from being included in the game’s shuffle. If disabled, the song simply won’t play.
• Instant Playback: Want to hear a specific track right now? Press the ‘Play’ button next to any song in the Jukebox menu to initiate immediate playback.
• Exclusive Playlists: For the ultimate control, you can even disable all the vanilla Brotato tracks, leaving only your curated selection to play.
