Kroos is a marksman who masterfully wields the unique resource of “Frost” to empower her attacks and outmaneuver her foes. Her gameplay revolves around a dynamic interplay of Frost consumption, Focus accumulation, and careful management of her “Light Sleep” and “Preparation” states, creating a distinct and engaging playstyle.

Core Mechanics of Frosty Arrow

Kroos’s combat effectiveness hinges on a set of unique mechanics that differentiate her significantly from the base cast. Understanding these is key to mastering her potential:

• Frost: This is Kroos’s core resource. Many of her cards gain powerful additional effects when Frost is consumed, allowing for explosive turns or crucial utility.
• Focus: Accumulating Focus is vital. When you have 3 or more stacks, it’s automatically consumed to grant a stack of Critical, enhancing your damage output.
• Critical: Triggering Critical effects doubles the damage of your attack cards, making your strikes far more potent.
• Weakness: A debuff applied to enemies. Reaching 5 stacks of Weakness consumes them to apply “Hit,” which damages enemies before their turn and can stun them.
• Camouflage: Reduces incoming attack damage by 50%, but each instance of being attacked consumes a stack of Camouflage.
• Light Sleep: While in this state, non-Dream Strike cards deal 80% damage, but you gain Armor and HP at the end of your turn.
• Preparation: Exiting Light Sleep consumes Preparation stacks to grant you card draw, energy, and temporary Strength.
