This mod, titled “温馨之家” (Cozy Home), aims to alleviate some of that pressure by introducing a suite of quality-of-life improvements designed to make your base a more comfortable and efficient place to call home.
Expanded Storage and Preserving Your Hard-Earned Goods
One of the most significant challenges in Don’t Starve Together is finding enough space to store your ever-growing collection of items. Cozy Home dramatically expands the capacity of several key storage containers:
- Refrigerators and Salt Boxes now boast an impressive 36 slots.
- Chesters and Hounds also receive a storage upgrade to 36 slots.
- Piggybacks and standard Backpacks are increased to 30 slots, along with Preservation Backpacks.
- Wooden Chests and Dragon Scale Chests are also expanded to 36 slots.
Beyond sheer volume, this mod also introduces innovative food preservation mechanics. Refrigerators, Salt Boxes, Chesters, Hounds, and even the Sporelight will now actively restore the freshness of stored food items, meaning less spoilage and more delicious meals.
Illumination and Resource Management Upgrades
The Sporelight receives a powerful enhancement, offering three times its normal light radius. It also features an automatic on/off function, illuminating your base at night and conserving energy during the day. The intensity of its glow dynamically adjusts based on the amount of Glow Berries or Spores you’ve placed inside.
Resource gathering is also streamlined. Mature Stone Fruits will now automatically drop three fruits upon ripening and reset their growth cycle. Drying racks are improved with the added benefit of not losing drying progress during rain, and your dried products will never decay.
Convenience and Specialized Features
Cozy Home introduces several other thoughtful features to simplify your survival:
- Universal Reading: All characters can now read books, opening up new strategic possibilities.
- Leafy Meat Preservation: Picked Leafy Meat will always retain 100% freshness.
- Warming Pan Ice Maker: Place a Warming Pan in a refrigerator to produce an ice cube every 30 seconds.
- Efficient Composting: Compost Bins gain 9 slots and can automatically pull compostable items from nearby chests.
- Immortal Cage Birds: Birds in the Bird Cage will never starve.
- Awake Pig King: The Pig King remains awake throughout the night.
- Movable Container UI: Drag and drop container interfaces with a right-click, and reset their positions with F12.
